    Beautiful work! Potential simplifications for me and others looking to create a similar setup: -rather than make the top loop from 5 pieces: 2 45 degree elbows, 2 short segments, and 1 90 degree elbow, you could make it from 3 pieces: 2 45 degree street elbows that will fit directly into the 90 degree elbow. At the bottom, same strategy, replacing the 90 degree elbow with a T fitting, at which point you can either have the ball valve and drains continue at a 45 degree angle or fit another 45 degree street elbow to make the drains parallel to the runs.

      Did a bit about ear protection in the video. I do have plugs in they are skin tone so they are hard to see. These blades are designed to cut dry never tried to oil one and see if there is an advantage. Would be an interesting video to see a A/B test on blade life. For my purposes the clean cut saves time and mess.

      @@chargerman426Good luck with it. It’s definitely worth your while and will save you a whole lot of filters and keep performance up if you add a “Dust Stopper” or “Dust Deputy” between the vacuum and the cabinet. When you move the pickup to the left I don’t believe you need to get a elaborate as I did. I figured out just getting it on that side and low should do the trick after I did some more testing. I personally like the Dust Stopper because if it’s tight form factor. Here’s a link www.dustopper.com/pro/

    • @HouseofChop
      @HouseofChop 3 месяца назад

      @@chargerman426The Eastwood vacuum is basically a shop vac with a much stronger pull. Still has a filter and the fine dust in the cabinet will clog it quick. I found with the Dust Stopper in line the performance of the vacuum wasn’t encumbered by the filter getting loaded up as quick. In addition to that it’s a whole lot easier to just dump the pail when needed rather than the whole trap door setup on the Eastwood vac.

    So, i got a B60 few month ago and been playing with it. If you want less dust try steel grit media. It is heavy so it falls down fast and the only dust you have is the crap you blasted off; not the abrasive itself. Also, that gun comes with 1/8th jet, going up will speed things up if you have the compressor hp for it.

    Great job, machine seems work great. Getting rid of dust is main thing. The pattern on the spray has got me wondering. . Seemed really small, like should have blown the battery tray out on both sides in about 4 minutes . Maybe it was my setup. A man who use to blast carnival equipment showed me how build it. Been 20 years now. Great job. I may get one. Can’t bring myself to buy harbor freight. No offense to anyone (except harbor freight ). Yes they got lifetime replacement. If I was the type who does t mind driving 50 miles to trade my tool in every week or every other week

    Great video, a couple of things I have recently done, 1. Powder coat the inside white, 2. High output LED flood light, and 3, removed the glass, welded studs for glass mounts for faster glass swaps, then thin piece of plexy, new glass, then plexy sandwitch and change the plexy out every couple of jobs. That said, the large vent in the rear right (looking into yours) is it open to the outside? Mine is closed, with the shop vac dust collector it is almost dustless inside the box with use.

    • @HouseofChop
      @HouseofChop 4 месяца назад

      Those sound like great upgrades. I’ve been contemplating getting some more light in there. The vent on the back is about 1/3-1/2 open on mine and it seems to flow best there and keep the dust down.

I’m always down for learning something. Much of what I do is not in service of the project I’m doing but the one that is coming up. Many times I’ll take the long way around to get more proficient on a tool or a technique that I’ll need for something more demanding later.

      @HouseofChop this project started out as a 350 out of a 77 corvette with a new top end, edelbrock alum heads, intake, comp cam and a new tremec tkx but now I'm doing the inner and outer rockers, lower pillars and cab supports. Now I'm thinking of fixing the inner fenders and rad support while everything else is apart. It keeps going and going lol. I guess I'll have to fab that brace that rots the inner fenders. Nobody sells them. Just remember I have a brief video of it here on RUclips lol

      I can definitely relate to the project spiral. Did all the same on mine and I started out just freshening it up to be a shop truck. Still it was definitely worth it. I never found someone who made the lower brace. I was actually able to patch up one of them and grafted the other off an aftermarket inner fender that was pretty much unusable. It was stamped way off of dimensions. I did later find the more complex piece I made in this video at 456 Chevy Trucks if you wanted to save some time messing with it. I’ll put the link below. Scroll down a bit they are near the bottom. 4-5-6chevytrucks.com/new-parts.html
